Gabriel’s previous season was his debut in Europe. He started it with Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he played nine EuroLeague games before joining Panathinaikos.

For the Athens club, he appeared in 23 EuroLeague games, averaging 6 points and 3.6 rebounds. In the Greek League, his stats were even better, with 7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

He spent most of his career in the NBA, playing for the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Memphis Grizzlies. He also had a short stint in Puerto Rico, playing for Vaqueros de Bayamon.

said Wenyen Gabriel.

Gabriel is Bayern’s first signing for the new season, while the club has so far only announced that Devin Booker and Ivan Kharchenov have left.
