The shift to electronic freight transport information is opening new doors for platform owners and IT providers across Europe. These workshops are designed for future and and will clarify how IT platforms and services can align with the eFTI Regulation.
The webinars will help you understand the eFTI Regulation and its implementation. They will provide practical insights on technical and business requirements for the eFTI-certified platforms, and on how you could align your existing IT solutions.
Session 1 — Thursday, 15 May, 9:30–12:30 CEST
Focus: eFTI legal framework, technical architecture, and links between eFTI Platforms and the broader logistics and supply chain ecosystem.
Session 2 — Monday, 19 May, 9:30–12:30 CEST
Focus: eFTI data sets, their lifecycle, and interfaces between eFTI platforms on the one hand, and systems of economic operators and competent authorities, on the other hand.
Session 3 — Thursday, 22 May, 9:30–12:30 CEST
Focus: eFTI data exchange in B2B use cases, and security of eFTI platforms.
Session 4 — Monday, 26 May, 9:30–12:30 CEST
Focus: Role, responsibilities and certification of eFTI service providers.
The webinars will be held online, and any interested stakeholder is welcome to attend. The workshops are carried out by the consulting team of Circle and Digilogistika Keskus under a specific contract by DG MOVE.
Background
TheeFTI Regulation is set to transform freight transport within the EU by boosting efforts to replace paper-based documentation with electronic data in all transport modes. It will reduce administrative burdens for operators and authorities, enhance data security, and ensure compliance with EU and national freight regulations.
Member States can now begin setting up their IT systems in preparation for paperless freight transport – by summer 2027, authorities must accept information shared electronically by operators via eFTI platforms.
