(TWC Met Team)

A cyclonic circulation persists over East Bangladesh and its neighbouring areas at lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, isolated thunderstorms are expected over Arunachal Pradesh and northeast Assam on January 24.

Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in Himachal Pradesh on January 24.

Maximum temperatures are expected to remain near or above normal across most of India during this period. However, below-normal highs are likely to emerge across the northern plains over the weekend. Nighttime lows in the National Capital Region (NCR) will hover in the upper single digits, which is close to seasonal norms.
