Watch: Fresh snowfall turns north Kashmir into winter wonderland

NEW DELHI: Fresh snowfall blanketed North Kashmir’s

Baramulla district

, transforming the landscapes into winter wonderland.
The snowfall has transformed Kanispora village in Baramulla district into a

winter landscape

, with snow-covered trees and rolling hills creating a scenic atmosphere.

The Bhalesa region in Doda district experienced continuous snowfall for three days, ending a prolonged dry period. The snow has covered mountains, trees, and homes in a thick white layer.

Local residents have begun venturing outside to experience the winter scenery, despite wet and slushy conditions. They have started wearing warm clothing as temperatures drop below freezing.
The snowfall has brought new life to the winter season among local communities in both regions, with previously green trees now covered in snow.
"There is a wave of happiness not only in Doda district but across the entire state. This snowfall has arrived after a long dry spell, and the surroundings have transformed rapidly. All the 'green gold' in the mountains is now covered by a white blanket of snow," said a local resident.
The weather department expects conditions to improve from Tuesday, with dry weather predicted to continue until March 9.
