Wassa Amenfi Central MP donates over 2,500 mathematical sets to BECE candidates

Manso Amenfi (WR) 9 June, GNA – Mrs. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for the Wassa Amenfi Central in the Western Region, has donated 2,511 mathematical sets to the Education Directorate in the district for distribution to the Basic Education Certificate Examinations candidates in the constituency.

The distribution of the mathematical sets which would be done in both public and private schools in the Amenfi Central district, is to ensure the candidates are well- equipped ahead of their nationwide Examinations which begins on June 11, 2025.

The MP, during the presentation, said education was a powerful tool for human and community development.

“I am an MP today because of education, and I want quality education to be accessible and affordable to all my constituents, and I will do my best to help push Amenfi Central to the limelight.”

She called on the students to study and prepare well and should resist any temptation to engage themselves in examination malpractices as honesty and integrity were critical to long-term success.

” Study hard and respect both your teachers and invigilators to pass with good grades in order to gain admission to Senior High school and other institutions.”

Mr. Joana Gyan, while thanking the teachers and other stakeholders in the constituency for their continued efforts towards uplifting the standard of education in the area, advised the students to make good use of the mathematical sets donated to them.

Mrs. Ann Konadu, the Amenfi Central District Director of Education, on behalf of the staff and students, commended the MP for the gesture and promised to distribute the items to the students.

“Last year BECE the district had 75% pass, and this year with this your support, we are targeting 100% pass.”

The District Education Director lauded the MP for her continuous support and wished her well in her political journey.
