This week had its fair share of bizarre happenings in Kenya, and among them was a lady being drugged in a bus. The death of teacher Naomy Jelimo also hurt many.

A family in Githurai was heartbroken after CCTV footage showed the disturbing behaviour of a house help that they had hired to take care of their five-month-old baby.
The video, exclusively seen by captured the abhorrent act of the nanny that endangered the life of the baby.
Speaking to, the baby’s father, Edward Waruguru, shared that the footage broke his and his wife's hearts.
The househelp was fired immediately, and the matter was reported to the police station. The home surveillance footage was presented as evidence.

Adelle Omondi sadly lost KSh 56,000 during a Mash Poa bus trip to Mombasa. All was well when she boarded, but she reportedly blacked out along the way.
The businesswoman suspected that her seatmate had drugged her and then vanished without a trace. Despite making a report about the incident, the bus company allegedly refused to cooperate with the probe.
Speaking to criminologist Henry Kiprono said hospitals and transport operators have a duty of care that goes beyond ferrying passengers or treating diseases.

A new photo revealed that Samuel Kimani, who allegedly killed two young women, attended the burial of 19-year-old Hellen Wambui, who was one of his victims.
Kimani was accused of killing Wambui (19) and Rosemary Njeri (21) between March 15 and March 30, 2025.
In the photo, Kimani is seen standing near the grave, solemnly looking as Hellen’s coffin is lowered. He looked emotionally affected while throwing soil into her grave alongside other members of the community.

When the news of the earlier-mentioned Adelle went viral, Lennox Shallo came out and defended his company.
Adelle alleged that she had been drugged and assaulted inside a Mash Poa bus, and officials did not want to share the details of her seatmate.
According to the general manager, Adelle was in bad shape when the journey ended in Mombasa, so they took her to the Central Police Station and then to Coast General Hospital. He claimed that she never asked for the details of the company.
