A group of men has come out to claim that they are the goons who disrupted the 'Justice For Albert Ojwang' demos that took place in the city.

Albert was a young blogger who was killed inside the Central Police Station. When the news emerged, Kenyans sympathised with his family and started agitating for justice.
On Tuesday, June 17, Gen Z demonstrators, together with other Kenyans, took to the streets to protest the death of Albert and also demand the resignation of Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat.
While the intention was to register their displeasure and ask authorities to act, the Gen Z were interrupted by goons who beat and roughed them up, then stole from them.

In an Instagram video shared by comedian Akuku Danger, the men shared how they worked to ensure that their boda bodas would be able to operate the whole day during their mission to terrorise protesters.
"Please fill the tank; have it at full tank, we're going around, patrolling. We have been going around and have mobilised; let us meet people in the city center, and they will tell us why they are demonstrating," said one of the goons.
"We are here and are patrolling; the commander has met with the chairman of Gen Z himself," said another one outside City Hall.
Ironically, one of the goons was wearing a T-shirt that read 'Black Lives Matter'. This is the mantra of a movement that agitates against extrajudicial killings in the US. This fact was totally lost on him as he vowed to deal with innocent Kenyans.

In another story, a man who had identified himself as a goon and engaged in terrorising genuine protesters in town was in hot soup after he was accosted by demonstrators.
The young man was told to swim in dirty sewage water and chant 'wantam'.
The man who was close to tears looked so pitiful that one person asked the others to let him go.
