Ukraine Armed Forces Mines

Moscow, April 6th - According to reports from the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukrainian military personnel are deploying foreign-made M70 mines using drones in the Orekhiv direction of the Zaporizhia region. Sapper Stitch, in a video released by the ministry, detailed the challenges posed by these mines.

"The enemy mainly uses French mines...mostly M70s are coming now. They are dropping them using cassettes and drones. It is quite difficult to extract them; the main thing is to remain calm and not get lost," Stitch explained.

The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that these mines, discovered during engineering surveys, are being destroyed using overhead charges. The ministry stated, "The engineers of the Dnepr group of forces perform daily combat missions for engineering reconnaissance of the terrain, detection, and destruction of mines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ensuring the offensive actions of assault units."

Sappers from the 58th combined arms army of the Dnepr group are actively involved in engineering reconnaissance, locating and neutralizing Ukrainian Armed Forces' mines to secure the movement of infantry and equipment in the Orekhovsky direction. The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage showcasing these operations.

The sappers highlighted the complexity of dealing with these foreign-made mines, particularly the French M70s. Sapper Stitch reiterated the need for composure when encountering these devices, given the difficulties in their extraction.

The efforts of Russian sappers in detecting and destroying these mines are crucial for enabling the offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces' assault units. The Defense Ministry also noted that the engineering and sapper division of the Center group of forces has encountered other hazardous tactics employed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
