Bell Ribeiro-Addy is the UK Trade Envoy

The UK Trade Envoy to Ghana Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP is set to embark on a four-day official visit to Ghana from May 19–22 2025.

Her visit is aimed at deepening economic ties and expanding trade opportunities between the two countries.

This marks Ribeiro-Addy’s first visit to Ghana since her appointment in January 2025 by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

As part of the UK’s global network of Trade Envoys, she is tasked with advancing British trade interests and forging strategic economic partnerships, particularly in key markets like Ghana.

The visit will include stops in both Accra and Kumasi where the Trade Envoy will meet with senior government officials, business leaders, and traditional authorities.

She is expected to meet with the Ministers of Finance, Trade, and Education as well the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and UK businesses operating in Ghana.

Discussions are expected to focus on expanding trade and investment, strengthening bilateral cooperation, and identifying new sectors for growth.

The visit highlights the UK’s continued commitment to supporting Ghana’s economic development through strategic collaboration.

In Kumasi, Ribeiro-Addy will tour two major UK Export Finance-backed projects; the Kumasi Airport expansion and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s new maternity block.

These projects underscore the UK’s role in supporting critical infrastructure in across Ghana.
