Drivers are being warned of delays after a "multi-vehicle collision" on the M1 in Leicestershire.

National Highways said the northbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 23 had been affected, with two lanes closed for part of Monday morning.

Delays of about an hour have been reported, with a peak of about about four miles (6.4km) of congestion following the crash.

Drivers, including those travelling to nearby East Midlands Airport, have been advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
