Trump Confirms Israel Agrees to 60-Day Ceasefire Terms, Urges Hamas to Accept Deal

US President Donald Trump says Israel has agreed to the conditions for a proposed 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, urging Hamas to accept the deal. The final offer is being delivered to Hamas via mediators Qatar and Egypt.

“This mission will not get better — it will only get worse,” Trump warned on Truth Social, ahead of his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu next week.

Israel’s UN envoy, Danny Danon, confirmed readiness for a truce but said military pressure would continue if Hamas rejects the deal. Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer also met US officials in Washington to advance the plan.

The deal includes a temporary pause, hostage-prisoner swaps, and increased humanitarian aid. But major sticking points remain, especially Hamas’ demand for a permanent ceasefire and Israeli withdrawal, which Israel rejects.

Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes continue in Gaza, where over 56,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began in October 2023.

The proposal follows a failed truce attempt in January and faces criticism from aid groups over civilian casualties and the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation overseeing relief efforts.
