NEW YORK -- Toyota Motor will raise prices in the U.S. next month by an average of $270 for Toyota brand vehicles, based on market trends and rival pricing strategies.

The price hikes apply to vehicles produced from July 1, according to Toyota Motor North America. Details on price increases and the specific models affected were not disclosed. The price of Lexus brand vehicles will rise by an average of $208.
