Tom Holland and his fellow MCU costar, Chris Pratt, jumped over to another successful Disney property, lending their voices to Pixar's Onward. The animated adventure takes place in a reality in which the legends of magic were actually true and led to a modern society where mythical creatures, wizards, and other fantasy elements live together. Holland and Pratt star as two elf brothers who set out on a quest to complete a magic spell that will allow their late father to return for a brief time.

While Onward continues the Disney trope of dead parents, it also finds some new ways to approach it that end up being quite touching. While the fantasy world that the movie takes place in feels a little like wasted potential, it is the story of the brotherly bond that makes for the highlight of Onward, especially with .

Tom Holland had the honor of leading the first MCU movie post-Avengers: Endgame, and while the cinematic universe has stumbled since that epic culmination, Spider-Man: Far From Home managed to deliver a really fun time. The second MCU Spider-Man movie finds Peter Parker overcome with losing Tony Stark and wanting to briefly escape the superhero life during a school trip to Europe. However, his relaxation plans are interrupted by the arrival of Nick Fury and a multiverse hero known as Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

The movie doesn't quite capture the charm of Holland's first solo Spider-Man movie, with it leaning into the comedic adventure too much at times. However, it is still a very funny movie, with t. Gyllenhaal also makes for a wonderful addition as his Mysterio delivers another terrific villain twist in the story, as well as a memorable post-credit scene.

What makes Locke unique is that the entire movie is set in this car, with Hardy as the only actor on screen, simply having phone conversations with various people as he drives.

Holland provides the voice of Hardy's son, who gradually begins to realize there is something serious going on. Even with just his voice performance, , and he joins a voice cast that includes Andrew Scott and Olivia Colman. However, Locke is truly Hardy's movie as he delivers a commanding yet reserved performance as a man whose life is coming apart but maintains a sense of morals.

After making his very successful MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland was given the chance to headline his own movie with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Taking place in the aftermath of Civil War, the movie finds Peter Parker attempting to prove himself worthy of becoming an Avenger while also juggling his responsibilities as a high school student. Meanwhile, he faces off with a new formidable enemy in the blue-collar yet high-tech thief known as Vulture (Michael Keaton).

While Holland showed plenty of charm and humor in his debut,. The movie also wisely does what other Spider-Man movies failed to do, which is make it feel like a high school sory. The entire ensemble is terrific, with Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and Keaton as the standouts.

It is hard to count Avengers: Endgame as a Tom Holland movie given his brief screen time. However, even with the packed ensemble of Avengers: Infinity War, Holland manages to stand out among his fellow superheroes. The movie allows Thanos to truly step into the spotlight for the first time and prove he is a formidable villain. Meanwhile, the scattered Avengers attempt to stop him, with Peter Parker joining Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians of the Galaxy in space.

The movie is a darker and more intense Avengers experience, especially with the villain getting more screen time than most of the heroes. However, it is also a thrilling adventure with a lot of humor. That makes way for one of the most devastating gut punches in the MCU with Infinity War’s closing moments. However, as heartbreaking as the entire sequence is, Holland’s performance is what really brings the house down.

Tom Holland made his much-anticipated MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, quickly proving himself a great choice for the iconic role. Captain America: Civil War finds the Avengers divided over a proposed plan to register all superheroes so there is some accountability for the damage they cause. While this pits Steve Rogers and Tony Stark at odds, the emergence of the Winter Soldier complicates things further with the heroes facing off.

While the movie is a thrilling globe-trotting superhero thriller, one of the most crowd-pleasing scenes is Tony visiting Queens and recruiting young Peter Parker. Holland has the perfect mix of smart-aleck humor, excited naivety, and unstoppable heroism. He is one part of a very big superhero story, but Holland really makes his mark. The movie itself has been hailed as one of the MCU’s best while also delivering one of the most emotional climaxes.

The third Spider-Man movie in the MCU not only ended up being Tom Holland’s best Spider-Man outing but also a celebration of the Spider-Man legacy on the big screen. With Peter Parker dealing with the aftermath of his identity being exposed to the world, he seeks Doctor Strange’s help to reshape reality only to bring in some unexpected guests from across the multiverse, including a couple of fellow Spider-Men.

While the MCU’s multiverse storyline has been controversial for many, there was no denying the fun of seeing Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire step into the MCU as their respective versions of Spider-Man. However, with those two actors returning, it is all the more impressive that Holland manages to truly shine in the role, going to some emotional places he has never reached with this character before. It also sets the stage for an exciting and very different Spider-Man 4.
