President Bola Tinubu has reassured his Malian counterparts, General Assimi Goita, of Nigeria’s unalloyed support towards smooth democratic transition and deepening economic ties with its West African neighbour.

This was contained in a message sent to the Malian military junta when he received a Letter of Credence from the new ambassador of the Republic of Mali, Cheick Oumar Coulibaly.

President Tinubu declared that both nations are stronger when united, while calling for stronger bilateral relations at a time when Nigeria is open to any support it can render in that regard. Cheick Oumar Coulibaly expressed gratitude to the President for consistently providing leadership for the sub-region and the continent.

Tinubu also lauded Tanzanian leader, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her courageous leadership and impactful contributions to the African Union. The Tanzanian envoy acknowledged the positive impact of Nigerian investments in Tanzania and expressed hope for a stronger bilateral relationship.

During a meeting with the Russian ambassador, President Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s technical partnership with Russia and the desire to enhance cooperation in steel production, science, education, and nuclear energy for electricity supply.

President Tinubu received letters from envoys of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Bosnia and Herzegovina, urging closer cooperation for global peace and prosperity.

In discussions with Swiss ambassador Patrick Egloff, Tinubu committed to fostering a more investor-friendly environment through regulatory reforms. Egloff highlighted increasing Swiss investments in Nigeria and praised collaboration on security and intelligence.
