Lekolool is among the beneficiaries of President William Ruto's high-level changes in the leadership of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

Immediately after the promotion, the new major general was appointed the Senior Directing Staff at the National Defence College.

Little was known about Lekolool until July 2018, when former president Uhuru Kenyatta tapped him from the Kenya Navy to be his aide-de-camp (ADC).

Following his appointment, the Samburu native from Maralal would accompany Uhuru in all his official undertakings, local and beyond the Kenyan borders.

He was with the former president up until he left office September 2022; he rocked his trademark white military uniform while towing on the president.

On September 13, Lekolool immediately shifted when Uhuru handed over the instruments of power to his predecessor, Ruto.

He briefly served Ruto before returning to the Navy.

Away from his official duties, going by his posturing on social media, Lekolool is a family man and philanthropist.

He is not the one to shy away from sharing photos of his family.

Lekolool is married to one wife with whom he has sired two daughters.

Besides his duty as a husband and father, Lekolool undertakes charitable works some of which he shares on social media.

Among the worthy causes of philanthropy he has undertaken include that of a widow he bailed out of an adverse situation when the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak.

Identified as Elizabeth, the woman lacked the means to provide for herself and her son, who lives with a disability.

Lekolool responded to her call and went ahead to supply the essentials she needed, among them food and toiletries.

A believer in the power of education, Lekolool prides himself among the enablers of education among the poor.

In June 2021, he gave bursaries to needy students at Kabokyek Adventist Secondary School in Kericho county.

Lekolool also came through for a single mother who was grappling with the adversities of life.

When he met her, the mother of a three-year-old baby and a university graduate had not eaten for four days.

He went ahead and secured the lady a job before incorporating her and the baby into his family.

He has also adopted a young girl to whom he provides essential parental care.

The young girl lives with a disability owing to her missing right arm.
