Parts of Doniphan were without water yesterday.
According to the city of Doniphan Facebook page, the downtown area was without water for a period of time Wednesday morning due to a water main break.
Officials say that a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for Grand Avenue between approximately Pine Street and Franklin Street. A portion of State Street is also included in the notice.
State officials have identified skeletal remains that were found earlier this month in Northeast Arkansas.
According to Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder, a detective and civilian search party member were searching an area southwest of Lake Ashbaugh on June 10th when they located skeletal remains in a very advanced state of decomposition.
Snyder says that the Arkansas State Crime Lab has identified the remains as that of Jessica Paige Kemp.
An autopsy was performed by the crime lab, however results are still pending.
Snyder added that no further information will be released at this time.
Three new State Troopers have been assigned to Southeast Missouri.
Colonel Michael Turner, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, tells KWOC News that a total of 28 troopers graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on Wednesday, June 18th.
Three of the graduates will be coming to Troop E in Southeast Missouri.
Trooper Elijah Missey, of Leadville, Colorado, was assigned to Wayne County, Trooper Tyler Deering, of Park Hills, will report to Madison and Iron counties, and Trooper Benjamin Dillon, from Poplar Bluff will be stationed in Stoddard County.
Another Poplar Bluff native, Trooper Grant Plummer, was assigned to Douglas and Ozark Counties.
The new troopers will report to duty in their assigned troops on July 7.
A Canadian man was injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Southeast Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 34 year old man from Ontario, Canada, was driving a truck on US Highway 61 in New Madrid County when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was flown to a St. Louis hospital.
Missouri state officials are reminding motorists that driver examinations will not be available on select days over the next few weeks.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, driver examination stations throughout the state will be closed today in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
Driver Examination Stations will also be closed on Friday, July 4, for Independence Day.
