The Voice of Youth, part of the project , promotes a participatory vision of heritage, connecting past and present while reaffirming the European Union's commitment to young people.
On one hand, it highlights the joint activities carried out by the Youth Sounding Board— young Panamanians from various associations — alongside the Team Europe Youth, young Europeans working within Member State institutions in Panama. On the other hand, it showcases the works submitted to the Literary Competition, which encouraged literary reflection on the historical and contemporary ties between the European Union and Panama, drawing inspiration from colonial routes as symbols of encounters between civilisations and spaces for revaluing identity, memory, and shared values between Europe and the Americas.
The selected texts reflect the richness of perspectives of a new generation committed to their surroundings, their roots, and the future. Each one offers an invitation to rediscover the legacy of the colonial routes and to imaginatively traverse the natural and symbolic landscapes that connect us.
By opening this space for dialogue, the project fosters a platform for expression, where Panamanian youth become protagonists of intercultural exchange, creative innovation, and the construction of a fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable future.
