It's no secret that one of the best parts about video games is mods, specifically fan mods. Whether it's the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Remaster or the Baldur's Gate 3 fan who managed to essentially add an entire new act to the game, fan mods are gaming at its purest.

As if there weren't already a ton of great fan mods to take advantage of, one group has taken two separate franchises, The Legend of Zelda and Ace Attorney, and smashed them together in a new project, aptly titled "Hero of Law," where Link is put "into the shoes of a defence attorney."
To start, Hero of Law is a completely free fan-made project that is currently available for download. All gamers will need is a working file of Ocarina of Time, either via emulation or Virtual Console. What's more, it apparently is playable on real Nintendo 64 hardware.
To help celebrate the release of the project, a near-one-minute-long trailer was posted to YouTube, showcasing Link in his finest two-piece suit taking a break from saving the world to save citizens from an unjust conviction.
"The Litigation of Zelda: Ocarina of Crime," one user cheekily wrote in response.
I can't think of a single joke that would top Ocarina of Crime, so shoutout to that fan for absoulutely leaving no doubts.
"We spent alot of time working on this one, making sure the logic was... mostly ironclad and easy to follow, and that the jokes landed," a contributor wrote on YouTube. "I think we did a good job. This has been years in the workings, so any support is very appreciated."
Oh, and yes, given that Link is now seemingly an attorney of law, he has gained the ability to speak, at least temporarily. That said, one fan decided to imagine things if he was still making random noises. Like we said up top, gaming at its most pure.
