There are inalienable truths about living in West Palm Beach. You will be stopped by a train crossing this week. Probably a drawbridge too. And you have to leave the city to go to a beach or movie theater. But thankfully there is no shortage of great restaurants in West Palm (as well as Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, which this guide covers too). While spending months eating around the city, we found a lot of white linen, a concerning amount of Salt Life bumper stickers, and service that outshines the rest of South Florida. But West Palm isn’t what people see on TV. The Lily Pulitzer aesthetic mostly stays on the other side of the bridges, and the city has a lot more to offer than fanciness.
