A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on an A-road.
The A370 Main Road at Cleeve, south of Bristol, has been closed in both directions by police investigating the crash.
Avon and Somerset Police said the emergency services were called to the area at about 17:30 BST after the crash involving a motorbike and a car.
Officers are trying to find the motorcyclist's next of kin, the force added.
The car's driver is in hospital as a precaution and their family have been informed.
Officers expect the road to remain closed between Meetinghouse Lane and Cleeve Garden Centre for some time to allow the investigation to take place and recover the vehicles.
Police have asked anyone with dashcam footage or information about the crash to contact them.
