Thailand’s Ministry of Labour is set to host Job Expo Thailand 2025 from June 6-8, offering over 600,000 job opportunities aimed at enhancing national employment and preparing workers for a rapidly evolving labour market.
The event will feature 500,000 domestic roles and 100,000 overseas positions, targeting job seekers across all age groups. With over 170 recruitment agencies confirmed, the expo will also host reskilling activities, career consultations, and entrepreneurship workshops, particularly supporting elderly workers and people with disabilities.
The initiative responds to urgent labour market challenges, an ageing population, low birth rates, and AI-driven disruption, amid findings that over 60% of the Thai workforce lacks in-demand skills. Labour Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn confirmed the government’s focus on improving income security and workforce resilience.
To support these goals, the Social Security Office has allocated 20 billion baht in liquidity loans for businesses (up to 50 million baht each) to stimulate job creation. A further 100 billion baht soft loan programme will support insured workers looking to start small businesses, offering 100,000–300,000 baht per applicant.
For those unable to attend in person, job seekers can access opportunities via the Thai Mee Ngan Tham and Khon Tham Ngan mobile apps. Over 80,000 visitors are expected to attend the expo, marking a major effort to reshape Thailand’s employment landscape.
