Tell your father Nigerians are suffering, Eedris Abdulkareem tells Seyi Tinubu

Nigerian Hip-hop artiste, Eedris Abdulkareem, has asked Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, to deliver a message to his father that Nigerians are facing hardship.
The 51-year-old rapper made this known through his new song titled “Tell Your Papa,” released April 6, 2025.
According to the veteran singer, Seyi’s recent public praise of his father shows ‘insensitivity,’ especially when many Nigerians are battling poverty, insecurity, and hunger.
“Seyi, tell your papa country hard. Tell your papa people dey die. Tell your papa this one don pass jagajaga,” he said in the track.
In another line, he added, “Seyi, how far? I swear your papa no try. Too much empty promises. On behalf of Nigerians, take our message to him; kidnappers dey kill Nigerians.”
He also challenged Seyi to feel what average Nigerians go through daily.
“Seyi, try travel by road without your security make you feel the pains of fellow Nigerians. You dey fly private jets, insecurity no be your problem.”
The track appears to be a direct response to a speech Seyi gave in Adamawa State last month, where he described his father as “the greatest president Nigeria has ever had.”
This is not the first time the rapper is calling out Nigerian leaders with his music.
In 2004, he released Jaga Jaga, a song that caused serious trouble during the Obasanjo administration.
The then-president openly blasted Eedris for the song and even banned it from airplay. But Eedris stood his ground and said the country truly was in a mess.
In 2023, he came back with a remix called “Lords of Jaga Jaga”, where he called out both Obasanjo and former President Muhammadu Buhari, accusing them of failed promises and worsening the situation of Nigerians.
