Tata Motors' domestic sales dip 9% to 77,232 units in February

Tata Motors has reported a decline in both commercial vehicle (CV) and passenger vehicle (PV) sales in February 2025. Its total vehicle sales, including domestic and international, were reported at 79,344 units in February 2025, down from 86,406 units in the same month last year.
In domestic sales, it reported a 9% decline, selling 77,232 units in February 2025, as against 84,834 units in February 2024.
Passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles (EVs), decreased by 9% year-on-year (Y-o-Y), with 46,811 units sold in February 2025. The company had sold 51,321 units in February 2024.
The EV segment witnessed a significant drop of 23%, with 5,343 units sold in February 2025, compared to 6,923 units in February 2024.
In the commercial vehicle category, sales declined by 7% Y-o-Y, totaling 32,533 units in February 2025, against 35,085 units sold in the same month last year.
Within the CV segment, small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup sales experienced the most significant drop, falling 20% compared to the previous year. Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (MH&ICV) domestic sales, including trucks and buses, were also down, reaching 15,940 units in February 2025 compared to 16,227 units in February 2024.
Total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business in February 2025, including trucks and buses, stood at 16,693 units compared to 16,663 units in February 2024.
