Tata Harrier EV price, variants, features explained

Prices for most Harrier EV trim levels have been disclosed, along with the electric SUV's variant-wise feature spread.

The was launched earlier this month as the carmaker’s range-topping, most advanced electric car to date. At the time of launch, solely disclosed introductory pricing for the entry-level Harrier EV trim – Rs 21.49 lakh. With the booking commencement date of July 2 inching closer, we now have , as well as the feature distribution across every current trim level.

The Harrier EV gets two battery pack options: 65kWh and 75kWh. Both of them can be had with a single-motor, rear-wheel drive setup, with the 75kWh battery additionally offering a dual-motor, all-wheel drive option. The RWD Harrier EV variants develop 238hp and 315Nm, while the 75kWh AWD powertrain generates a combined 313hp and 504Nm. As for claimed range, the can travel up to 538km on a single charge, whereas the 75kWh RWD and AWD versions achieve figures of 627km and 622km, respectively.

At the time of writing, Tata has confirmed six variants for the Harrier EV: Adventure 65, Adventure S 65, Fearless+ 65, Fearless+ 75, Empowered 75, and Empowered QWD 75. Barring the top-spec Empowered QWD 75, all Harrier EV variants are RWD. Interestingly, the lists AWD options for the Fearless+ 75 trim, and 75kWh versions of the Adventure and Adventure S trims, although these haven't been officially confirmed.

While the Harrier EV is available with four colours – Empowered Oxide, Nainital Nocturne, Pristine White, and Pure Grey – the Adventure and Fearless trim levels can be had only with the latter two options. Buyers of the Harrier EV Empowered trims can choose between all four colours.

All told, the Harrier EV, at least for the introductory period, is very well-priced when compared to rivals like the (Rs 21.90 lakh-30.50 lakh) and (Rs 24.99 lakh-33.99 lakh). The Harrier EV is the only one in its segment to offer AWD as well as the highest powertrain output, and this could help it accrue favour among more enthusiastic buyers.
