The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Taraba State has warned its members against engaging in activities deemed supportive of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, describing such conduct as anti party and punishable.
In a statement issued by the state party chairman, Abubakar Bawa, through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Habu Ardo, the party disclosed that it has been monitoring certain members who are allegedly showing sympathy for the ADC.
Piqued by this development, the party cautioned that any involvement with the new coalition would attract severe disciplinary measures.
The statement reaffirmed the loyalty of the state governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, to the PDP, stressing that he remains committed to the party’s ideals and that any attempts to link him or the party with the ADC through propaganda would be treated as a serious offense.
The party also urged its members to desist from promoting or sympathizing with the ADC on social media or other platforms, warning that violators would face sanctions.
PDP further called for unity and loyalty among members to protect the integrity of the party across the nooks and crannies of the state.
