Tamil Nadu SSLC results 2025 declared: Sivagangai becomes the top performing district with overall pass rate of 98.31%, details here

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu(DGE TN) has announced the results for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams today, May 16. This year, the overall pass rate for TN class 10th students has been recorded at 93.80%.

Girls have again outperformed boys with an impressive pass rate of 95.88%. Meanwhile, boys have obtained a pass rate of 91.74%.This year, Sivagangai has emerged as the best performing district in TN SSLC exams, with a pass percentage of 98.31%. Moreover, private schools in Tamil Nadu have recorded a higher pass rate at 97.99%, compared to government schools at 91.26%. The DGE has released the district wise performance analysis for SSLC exams along with the results.

The pass percentage for the Tamil Nadu Class 10th result 2025 stands at 93.8%. As compared to last year’s performance, it has witnessed an increase of 2.3% this year. Check the top five best performing districts in Tamil Nadu class 10th exams this year below.

The government schools have also shown an impressive performance in Tamil Nadu SSLC Results 2025, with Sivagangai leading the way again. Following closely are Virudhunagar , Kanyakumari, Trichy, and Tuticorin. These districts have demonstrated consistent academic growth, with a strong focus on quality teaching, student support, and community involvement. A total of 8,71,239 students appeared for the TN SSLC 2025 exams, with 8,17,261 students successfully passing. Of the total candidates, 4,36,120 were boys and 4,35,119 were girls. Among them, 4,00,078 boys and 4,17,183 girls passed the exams. Additionally, one transgender student appeared for the exams, and this student achieved a 100% pass rate.
