Switzerland has re-established a vital air connection with Southeast Europe as Air Serbia officially resumes its direct Belgrade–Geneva flights from 23 June 2025, responding to strong travel demand from the Western Balkans diaspora and European tourists. Operating three times weekly, with an added Sunday service during the summer peak, the route enhances Switzerland–Serbia connectivity while offering seamless onward access to major European cities through Belgrade. The relaunch supports tourism growth, cultural exchange, and economic ties between the two regions, reaffirming Geneva’s strategic importance in Air Serbia’s expanding European network.

Air Serbia has resumed direct flights between Belgrade and Geneva, strengthening air links between Serbia and Switzerland while serving growing demand from both business and leisure travelers. The relaunched service began on 23 June 2025 and operates three times weekly—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. A fourth Sunday flight will be added throughout July and August to accommodate increased travel during the summer peak.

The reinstated route aims to serve the substantial Western Balkans community living in Switzerland while enhancing direct air links between Serbia and Switzerland. With a significant number of Serbian nationals living in Switzerland, many of whom travel regularly for family, cultural, or professional reasons, the route offers a convenient option for direct travel.
