“The suicide bomber also died in the blast.
“The Nigerian Army troops and emergency response teams were immediately deployed to the scene, and the injured victims were evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment,” Makama wrote.
He further revealed that security personnel have cordoned off the area to avoid further infiltration of other suspected bombers.
Meanwhile, at least due to renewed violence perpetrated by gunmen in the Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of Plateau State recently.
Reports obtained by revealed that the recent outbreak of violence occurred on Thursday night in the Manja community of Chakfem kingdom in Mangu, as well as in the Tangur community in Bokkos.
It was gathered that the assailants invaded the communities at different intervals.
The attack in Tangur took place around 9 PM, a time when residents were already preparing for bed, whereas the assault in Chakfem occurred much earlier.
It has been reported that the attackers operated for a period during the assaults before vanishing.
Sources from Mangu and Bokkos confirmed to Daily Trust that seven individuals were killed in Mangu, while eight fatalities were reported in Bokkos.
One source indicated that the gunmen entered their community and began firing indiscriminately while also breaking into people’s homes.
