Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced a significant shift in customer preferences in FY25, with its sunroof-equipped vehicles reaching 53.2 per cent penetration and SUVs contributing 68.5 per cent to total domestic sales.

The company offers sunroofs in 12 out of 14 models in its portfolio.

Last year, SUVs accounted for 63.2 per cent of its domestic sales. The strong numbers reflect a growing demand for premium features and Hyundai's strong position in the SUV market, driven by models like the Exter, Venue, and Creta. According to the automaker, its ADAS variant contribution doubled, increasing from 6.7 per cent in FY24 to 14.3 per cent in FY25.

Tarun Garg, whole-time director and chief operating officer of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said “FY25 has been a landmark year for Hyundai Motor India. The doubling of ADAS variant contribution and growing popularity of sunroof-equipped models reflects the rising aspirations of our customers and their readiness to embrace global technologies. We shall continue to march forward with a focus on customer delight, offering products that are future-ready, feature-rich, and engineered for India.”
