Published 4 weeks ago1 minute read

Travelers planning to move around Greece on Monday, April 28, are advised to contact local port authorities and travel agencies before their departure for updates on possible route changes or cancellations.

A sailing ban is in effect across many sea areas due to strong winds, which, according to the Hellenic Meteorological Service, are reaching force 8 in some regions and locally up to force 9 Beaufort in the Aegean and eastern mainland.

According to the Greek Coast Guard, the passenger ferry Aikaterini P will not operate its scheduled route from Piraeus at 14:45 to Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos, Folegandros, Sikinos, Ios, and Thira, nor the return trip on Tuesday, April 29, from Thira at 08:30 to Piraeus via the same islands.

Additionally, services by the Super Jet and Champion Jet catamarans to the Cyclades islands will not operate today from Piraeus.

Routes serving the Argosaronic Gulf are operating normally.

Sailing bans are also in place from the ports of Rafina and Lavrio.
