State Bank of India, the country’s biggest lender by assets, has clocked a 10% drop in its Q4FY25 net profit on the back of narrower net interest margin growth. Its Q4 net profit came in at Rs 18,643 crore as against a record profit of Rs 20,698 crore in Q4FY24. The bank’s net interest income, or the difference between interest earned on loans and paid on deposits, increased 2.7% to Rs 42,775 crore compared with Rs 41,655 crore in Q4FY24, up 2.69%.
Adani Group flagship Adani Enterprises (AEL) has announced a capex plan of Rs 36,000 crore for FY26 in a post Q4FY25 earnings call. This amount is lower than its average annual capital spend forecast previously. Previously, the firm had significantly revised its capex downwards for two consecutive years – FY24 and FY25. In its spending plan announced in 2022, the company had said it would incur a capex of $49 billion (Rs 3.92 lakh crore) spread over five years starting with FY25, an average of nearly $10 billion (Rs 80,000 crore) every year.

Kotak Mahindra Bank reported a 14% YoY drop in net profit at Rs 3,551.7 crore for Q4FY25 while its net interest income (NII) rose 4.5% YoY to Rs 7,283.6 crore. The lender’s total income grew 6.8% YoY to Rs 3,182.5 crore, while total expenditure surged 14.4% YoY to Rs 11,240 crore. Its net interest margin (NIM) stood at 4.96% for FY25 and 4.97% for Q4FY25.
Avenue Supermarts, parent firm of DMart, reported a drop of 2% in consolidated net profit at Rs 551 crore, compared to Rs 553 crore in the corresponding period last year. Two-year-old and older DMart stores grew by 8.1% during Q4 FY25 as compared to 10.3% in Q4 FY24.
IRCON International has received a letter of acceptance from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) for a Rs 458.14 crore civil works contract related to the Tato-I Hydro Electric project in Arunachal Pradesh. The contract, awarded under package I, involves the construction of civil works on an item rate basis.
