unveiled the country’s first hydrogen-powered truck for mining logistics. The truck can carry 40 tonnes of freight with a 200-kilometer range. It will carry coal from the Gare Pelma III Block mines to the state power plant.

Adani Enterprises was selected by the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited, through a competitive bidding process, to develop and operate the Gare Pelma III block. As part of its efforts to promote cleaner transportation, the Adani Group is creating trucks that run on hydrogen fuel cell batteries and are equipped with smart technologies for the movement of freight.

The project is a collaborative undertaking between Adani Natural Resources (ANR) and Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL), both subsidiaries of Adani Enterprises. ANR will obtain hydrogen cells from ANIL, which also specializes in green hydrogen, wind turbines, solar modules, and battery production.
