Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Oceanic Foods(20.00%), Nucleus Software Exports(19.99%), Yogi Infra Proj(19.96%), Zee Learn(19.90%), Paras Defence(18.89%), Lypsa Gems(18.35%), Onward Tech(18.03%), Walchand People(17.86%), BPL Ltd(17.62%) and Pearl Polymers(16.18%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 200.15 points down at 82330.59, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 42.3 points down at 25019.8.
In the Nifty50 index, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Paras Defence, Kamadgiri Fash, Stampede Cap(DVR), Mazagon Dock Ship and Kranti Industries hit their fresh 52-week high, while Dalmia Industrial Development, Jamshri Realty, Sybly Ind, Ozone World and Rajeswari Infra touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
