A look at the top performers in boys and girls lacrosse on Long Island this week.
Henry helped the Lions bounce back from its loss to Kings Park with an impressive 12-11 win in overtime over East Islip. He had three assists and the winning goal with 26 seconds left in OT.
Henry scored the go-ahead goal in Oyster Bay’s comeback 7-6 win over Clarke and won 15 of 17 faceoffs. Rosasco manned the cage, making his 300th save with a 13-stop performance.
The do-it-all long-stick midfielder recorded six points, including his 100th point, in a 14-7 win over Wheatley/Carle Place. He also won nine faceoffs, scooped 14 ground balls and forced an impressive six turnovers to help the Bulldogs pull away after holding a 4-3 lead at halftime.
Ryan Filippi and Dontae Spadaro dominated the offense against Miller Place, but Massaro was close to perfect at the faceoff X. He won 30 of 31 faceoffs to keep the Mustangs ahead in an 18-12 win.
Perlman continued his excellent season with 12 goals and two assists in North’s two wins this week. Seven of those goals came in a 12-11 win over Glen Cove, with Perlman netting the winner in overtime.
McCann forced overtime against Harborfields by scoring with eight seconds left in regulation before assisting Tristan Vitale’s winner. McCann finished with four goals and three assists. Casey won 20 of 26 faceoffs.
Cash recorded her sixth game with at least four points against Longwood, posting a game-high five points to help Northport win 8-7. She added another such game against Smithtown East, scoring five goals and assisting three more.
Her fourth goal served as the overtime winner in a 9-8 victory over Plainedge. She also had an assist for a game-high five points.
With 18 goals and three assists through four games since May 1, it’s clear Hills found a budding star in its 51-goal freshman.
Six goals, two assists, 10 ground balls and 10 draw controls. It’s safe to say McCrary kept busy in Comsewogue’s 11-10 win over Shoreham-Wading River. Guzman helped with five goals and an assist.
Meyers scored her 100th goal in a nine-point performance against Deer Park, finishing with seven goals and two assists.
Never fear, Sullivan-Pagano is here! Her third goal proved to be the winner in an 8-7 decision over Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK before she exploded for eight goals and five assists against Floral Park.
