After years of radio silence on the large-scale festival front, Singapore is finally getting its groove back on August 16 with a fresh new homegrown contender: Somewhere Out There Festival.

And leading the charge? None other than Bonobo, the Grammy-nominated DJ and producer known for his transportive, genre-bending soundscapes. Last seen headlining Laneway Festival Singapore in 2018, Bonobo returns to our shores for a night of euphoria under the stars. He’ll be joined by other international DJs, regional musicians, and local collectives. More acts will be announced soon.

The festival is set to be a landmark moment – one that proves Singapore can absolutely throw down with the best of them. Here’s all you need to know about Somewhere Out There Festival.

The festival is taking place on Saturday, August 16, from 2pm to 10.30pm. It’s a one-day, multi-sensory wonderland curated by Fabrik Asia, the team behind past crowd-pullers like Boiler Room Singapore and Garden Beats.

The festival is set to transform Fort Canning Park into an immersive outdoor stage. There’ll be three unique zones to explore. The is the heart of it all – a metaphorical tree of life where Bonobo and other sonic heavyweights will take you on an emotional, electronic journey.

Craving something closer to home? The is a shout-out to Singapore’s underground collectives and the dancefloor disruptors, including Blackout Agency, Ice Cream Sundays, GrooveTop, Last Saturdays, and Soul Collective. Expect groovy, genre-fluid sets that go hard from sun-up to starlight.

Then there’s the , a safe space curated with Wild Pearl Studio where music meets movement and mindfulness. Think DJ sets with a side of healing – sound baths, expressive dance, and the kind of deep chats you have with strangers-turned-soulmates.

Look out for interactive displays by visual artist Erikartoon and mixed media duo Tasha and Alysha. Glitter queen Polina Korobova and fashion designer Putri Adif will also be there in action.

And of course, no festival is complete without a feast. Expect inventive local food fusions and drinks for some Dutch courage to dance like nobody’s watching. After all, Somewhere Out There is all about nourishing the senses and spirit.

Early bird tickets start from $98 and are on sale now here. Each ticket comes with a complimentary Heineken Silver – cheers to that. Prices will rise to $108 and $128 in later tiers, so don’t sleep on it.

Been there, done that? Think again, my friend.
