Serie A leaders Napoli were held to their third consecutive draw on Saturday when they battled out a 2-2 tie with Lazio in Rome.
The result gives champions Inter the opportunity to go top of the table by beating Juventus away from home later on Sunday.
Lazio took an early lead thanks to a thunderous shot from outside the box by Gustav Isaksen but Giacomo Raspadori levelled for Napoli minutes later after a blunder by the hosts' keeper Ivan Provedel had gifted them possession.
The visitors went ahead after the break thanks to a bizarre own goal by Lazio's Adam Marusic.
But substitute Boulaye Dia slotted the ball home from the edge of the penalty area to earn Lazio are share of the spoils in the closing stages.
Napoli have 56 points from 25 games while Inter have 54 from 24.
Lazio are fourth with 46 points.
