Sharon Van Etten To Headline Castlemaine's Town Folk Festival - Music Feeds
Town Folk Festival has announced its return for 2025, taking over the regional Victorian centre of Castlemaine this November. The festival will hold its main stage on the Sunken Oval in Castlemaine’s CBD, while the other stages will be found at local venues the Bridge Hotel, the Boomtown Winery and the Shedshaker Brewery. The full line-up and ticketing information for Town Folk can be found below.
Headlining the festival will be American singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten, who will be bringing her new band Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory for the first time following her Darkness Fades national tour in December 2022. This is the first date of Van Etten’s 2025 Australian tour to be announced, with her full itinerary to be revealed over the coming weeks. She will be joined by fellow countrymen Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, as well as Zimbabwe’s WITCH, on the international front.
Also on the bill are King Stingray, who recently released their second studio album For The Dreams, as well as veteran singer-songwriters Meg Washington and Dan Kelly plus the recently-formed supergroup duo of Didirri & Rowena Wise. Last year’s festival was headlined by The Teskey Brothers, and also featured performances from New Zealand’s Marlon Williams, Parquet Courts‘ A. Savage (as part of his debut solo tour), Ngaiire and Grace Cummings.
Saturday, November 15th – Various Venues, Castlemaine VIC
