Shane Larkin and Mam Jaiteh Named Playoffs Game 2 Co-MVPs

Shane Larkin of Anadolu Efes Istanbul and Mam Jaiteh of AS Monaco have been jointly awarded the MVP of the Round for Game 2 of the 2025 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs. This marks Larkin's record-extending 19th time receiving this honor and Jaiteh's first.
Larkin guided Efes to a 79-76 comeback victory against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, contributing 20 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal, resulting in a performance index rating (PIR) of 27. His shooting stats included 1 of 2 on two-pointers, 4 of 6 on three-pointers, and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.
Jaiteh also achieved a PIR of 27, equalling his career high, during Monaco’s dominant 92-79 win over FC Barcelona. He scored 20 points, tying his career best, by making 9 of 9 two-point attempts and both of his free throws. Additionally, he secured 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist.
Nigel Hayes-Davis of Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul recorded the next-best PIR of 26, leading his team to an 89-72 victory over Paris Basketball with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and 5 drawn fouls.
Other notable performances included Alpha Diallo of Monaco and Mario Hezonja of Real Madrid, each posting a PIR of 24. Diallo scored 21 points with 6 rebounds and Hezonja had 22 points with 8 rebounds in a loss to Olympiacos Piraeus.
In individual achievements, Andres Feliz of Real Madrid made 6 steals, tying for the second-most in a playoff game. Hezonja and Sasha Vezenkov of Olympiacos each scored 22 points, the highest in Game 2. Kendrick Nunn of Panathinaikos leads the league with 20.7 points per game. Vincent Poirier of Efes grabbed 10 rebounds, the most in Game 2, while Juancho Hernangomez of Panathinaikos leads the EuroLeague with 6.9 rebounds per game. Elie Okobo of Monaco dished out 8 assists, and TJ Shorts of Paris Basketball leads the league with 7.4 assists. Poirier was the only player to record a double-double in Game 2 with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
