Shahs of Sunset's Mike Shouhed Headed to Trial With Ex-GF Paulina | In Touch Weekly
Shahs of Sunset star is headed to trial as part of his ex-girlfriend ’s lawsuit accusing him of assault and battery, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the trial to start on September 29, where Mike, 46, and Paulina will face off.
The judge said the trial will last seven to ten days.
As In Touch previously reported, Paulina sued Mike in March 2024 over an alleged incident on March 27, 2022. She claimed Mike had “viciously, brutally and repeatedly assaulted and battered” her.
In her lawsuit, Paulina, who was engaged to Mike, claimed the assault happened at her home with her children. She said Mike went off on her calling her a “piece of s–t” and a “fu–king whore.”
Paulina claimed she asked Mike to leave the home, but he told her he would not leave unless she paid him for half of it. In her suit, Paulina said she started to pack up his stuff when things took a dark turn.
In the suit, Paulina included several alleged screenshots from her security footage. She said Mike grabbed her hair and shoulder and “violently threw her to the ground.”
“As [Paulina] was lying on the floor, underneath the clothing rack that had come down on top of her body after [Mike] violently threw her to the ground, [Mike] bent over her, struck her in the face, and then put his hand over her face and tried to suffocate her as she writhed on the ground and struggled to breathe,” the suit continued.
Paulina claimed she ran to call 911 when Mike stopped but then he “violently confronted” her.
She said he also threatened to kill her and told her he had a hitman who would handle her for him. She claimed he continued to assault her and even suffocated her by holding both of his hands over her mouth.
The suit added, “Nearly four minutes after [Mike] initiated his series of vicious and brutal attacks on [Paulina], this harrowing incident finally came to an end. [Paulina] had screamed for the nanny who was staying in a room on the other side of the house while [Mike] was assaulting and battering her in the playroom, in hopes the nanny would hear her and come to her aid.”
Paulina said Mike stopped when the nanny asked him to leave.
She claimed he went upstairs while she called the police. Paulina said Mike was arrested at the scene. Mike denied all allegations in the lawsuit. His lawyer argued that Paulina “through [her] own conduct, acts and omissions, is estopped from asserting recovering under any of [her] causes of actions alleged against [Mike].”
“[Mike] alleges that the damages alleged in the complaint, and each claim for relief therein alleged, if any were caused wholly or in part by the acts or omissions of herself, persons, firms, corporations, and/or entities other than [Mike],” Mike’s lawyer added. Mike demanded the entire suit be tossed and Paulina be ordered to pay his legal fees.
In July 2022, Mike was hit with 13 criminal charges over the incident.
Mike pleaded not guilty to all charges. Eventually, Mike worked out a deal with prosecutors.
The reality star avoided jail time in exchange for completing an anger management class and performing community service. Mike and Paulina first started dating in 2019.
