Senior Project Director - Global Eye Health Initiative | Devex
The Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) is seeking an exceptional Senior Project Director to lead a 2-year global eye health initiative with significant project implementation across Cambodia and Ethiopia.This role is tasked with engaging our country and global teams facilitate the end to end delivery of the project, from strategy to execution, ensuring strong outcomes at both country and global levels.
The project focuses on advancing eye health systems through innovative service delivery models and data integration, with a goal of scaling impact, strengthening partnerships, and contributing to global health knowledge. You will work closely with sector stakeholders, country-based program managers, technical experts, and donor representatives, serving as the lead contact point for strategic oversight and engagement.
This role acts as the nexus for all the key stakeholders who deliver this work: championing locally led development and engaging the donor meaningfully in our life changing work.
Collaboration & Technical Integration
- Strong understanding of health data systems and evidence-driven program design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Skilled communicator and strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling narratives and reports.
- Experience in global advocacy, donor engagement, and post-grant strategic planning.
- Cross-cultural fluency and ability to lead distributed teams in high-pressure, high-impact environments.
- International development experience in Ethiopia or Cambodia, particularly with current relationships in the health, government and development sectors, will be an advantage.
