The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced that the next round of pre-registration training and examinations for prospective Capital Market Operators (CMOs) will begin on Monday, 7 July 2025.

In a public notice issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the Commission stated that the exercise applies to three categories of applicants: those invited but absent from the March 2025 training; those who attended but failed the examination; and new applicants who have met the eligibility criteria.

Participation is subject to completion of the registration process via the designated application portal, with a deadline set for Friday, 4 July 2025. The Commission said login details and further instructions were sent via email to eligible applicants.

The SEC also issued a reminder under Rule 3(6)(b) that any application for registration will lapse if the applicant fails to meet all requirements within twelve months of filing. Such applicants will be required to submit a new application.
