Seahawks news: Hall of Fame mascot, make-or-break player and more for Cardinals fans - Yahoo Sports
We have made it through another week in the NFL offseason, and that means we will check in with the Arizona Cardinals' NFC West rivals. What is new with the LA Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks?
Here are a few stories about the Seahawks from the last week that Cardinals fans should know.
This hasn't happened yet for the Cardinals' Big Red, but Seattle's mascot, Blitz, was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame. I personally didn't know that it existed, but it makes sense.
Some people call 2025 the make-or-break year for Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. For the Seahawks, that player is tackle Abe Lucas, who has played well when he has been in the lineup. His issue has been a nagging knee injury.
The Seahawks have the longest odds to win the NFC West in 2025, behind even the Cardinals.
Running back Ken Walker has struggled with his health, as seems to always be the case for Seahawks running backs. If that is the case again, Justin Melo thinks that seventh-round pick Damien Martinez could end up being a potential needed contributor in 2025.
The Cardinals draft tackle Josh Jones in the third round in 2020 and traded him to the Houston Texans in 2023. He played for the Baltimore Ravens last season and signed with Seattle this offseason. Because of the health concerns of right tackle Abe Lucas, Jones could end up playing.
