After Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey danced onscreen in Wicked, Kristen Bell may or may not try “dancing through life” onstage at the 2025 SAG Awards during a potential Wicked-inspired performance.

During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 44-year-old host of the Feb. 23 ceremony teased what impact Wicked, which has the most nominations this year with five nods, might have on the SAG Awards telecast.

“It’s been a struggle not to make the whole thing about Wicked because I just think it’s been the most important film we’ve ever made,” Bell says. “I say ‘we’ because even though I wasn’t really a part of it, I feel like I know some people involved, so I can say ‘we.’ ”

Prodded about whether a big musical number will be part of her SAG Awards repertoire, Bell quips, “We shall see.” Then, when asked if a fan would make money betting on a Wicked-inspired musical performance happening, Bell says, “You might, I don’t know. I’d put money on it if I were you.”

Wicked is competing in five categories at the SAG Awards: outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role (Erivo), female actor in a supporting role (Grande), male actor in a supporting role (Bailey), cast in a motion picture and stunt ensemble in a motion picture.

Potentially increasing the chances of a Wicked number at Sunday’s ceremony is the fandom within the Bell and Dax Shepard household, whose two daughters — Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10 — are “big time” fans.

“It’s the most important thing for three of us in our household of four,” Bell says of her and her daughters’ love of the movie musical.

Aside from hosting, Bell is nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor for her Netflix rom-com Nobody Wants This, alongside costar Adam Brody, who earned a nod in the male actor category.

Bell is up against Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) and Jean Smart (Hacks).

Still, Bell tells PEOPLE she’s unsure if her husband, 50, will attend the annual awards show with her.

“There’s no way to know, and you know what, he’s his own man and I support him. I don’t know if he’ll even come because, to be honest, we don’t have very many babysitters who are ever available, and he has to watch the children,” she says. “So sometimes he’s just like, ‘We have no babysitter, God bless, I hope you do great and have a fun night.’ ”

The 31st SAG Awards stream live on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.
