WireImageUnlike some young talents in the pop music space, it took many years for Sabrina Carpenter to become a commercial success. She released her first album a decade ago, but it wasn’t until recently that the masses finally picked up on her talents and she scored hit after hit after hit.
This week, Carpenter collects four new smashes on the Hot 100. All of them are taken from the recently-released deluxe edition of Short n’ Sweet, the album that turned her into a proper superstar.
As she earns a quartet of new placements on Billboard’s ranking of the most popular songs throughout America, Carpenter ups her career total to 19. Her latest roundup of debuts represents a little more than one-fifth of her career appearances on the Hot 100. That type of performance would have been unimaginable for Carpenter just a short time ago, and it shows how quickly a musician can go from hoping to develop a fanbase to becoming a certified powerhouse.
"Busy Woman" is Carpenter’s biggest new hit on the Hot 100. It’s the only one that cracks the top 40, as it enters at No. 27. Looking at the lower half of the 100-space roster, several other new Short n’ Sweet tracks also manage to debut. "15 Minutes" (No. 67), "Couldn’t Make It Any Harder" (No. 84), and "Bad Reviews" (No. 87) all get their start on the list this time around, joining several other smashes from the same project that have been charting for weeks, or even months.
Carpenter debuted on the Hot 100 in 2021, almost exactly four years ago. In February of that year, "Skin" launched and spent three weeks on the tally, peaking at No. 48. Two years later, in 2023, Carpenter collected two more Hot 100 wins. She started with "Nonsense" in January, which rose to No. 56. "Feather" arrived by the end of the year and peaked at No. 21 in April of 2024, just as she was beginning her new chapter, which would launch her to incredible new heights.
In the span of several years—and many years after she began her music career—Carpenter was still slowly but surely adding to her list of Hot 100 wins. It took her multiple albums and a long time to earn her first four placements on the Hot 100, and now she's collected that many in just a single turn.
Impressively, three of her Short n’ Sweet singles continue to beat "Busy Woman," even though it’s her newest focus track. "Espresso" (No. 17), "Taste" (No. 22), and "Please Please Please" (No. 25) are all ranking higher as Americans are still in love with her most recent behemoths.
