Rwanda - Nuni-Omot-ex-Beijing-D-signs-at-APR-Basketball-Club-Kigali

Defending champion APR Basketball Club Kigali (RBL) signed 30-year-old American (who also holds a South Sudanese passport) 204cm small forward Nuni Omot (college: Baylor). He last played for Shougang Beijing Ducks in the Chinese CBA league, where he averaged 11.4ppg, 3.3rpg, and 1.5apg in 56 games last season. Omot contributed to the team reaching the Chinese League final and Cup semifinals.
Omot also represented South Sudan at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event he scored an average of 16.7 ppg and had 3.3 rpg.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to pro basketball, he experienced life in eleven different countries playing on five different continents. Omot is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in France (Chorale de Roanne), Germany (46ers), Holland (ZZ Leiden), Israel (Ramat Gan), Poland (Trefl), Puerto Rico (Leones), Turkey (Tofas), North Macedonia (MZT Skopje), Egypt (Al Ahly Cairo), and NBA G League (Westchester Knicks, Long Island Nets, and Osceola Magic).
Omot won the Basketball Africa League championship title in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from Baylor University in 2018 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. Omot played for other colleges like Indian Hills Community College and Concordia University St. Paul.
