Rosie O'Donnell's Weight Loss with Mounjaro

Rosie O'Donnell has revealed her weight loss journey following a move to Ireland, attributing her new look to the weight loss medication Mounjaro. In an Instagram post on May 24, O'Donnell, 63, expressed disbelief at her transformation, using hashtags like "mounjaro," "weightloss," and "bodydismorphia." Mounjaro, typically used for type 2 diabetes, has shown effectiveness in weight loss.

O'Donnell initially shared her Mounjaro use in March, noting it as part of her diabetes treatment. She explained that while the medication contributes to weight loss, changes in her lifestyle, such as no longer having a personal chef, also play a role. "I’m one of those people who always had a weight issue and now that I’m a size large — instead of an XL or a XXL — I find it shocking. I really do. I find it completely shocking," she stated.

Other celebrities, including Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, have also credited Mounjaro for their weight loss. Graziano, 57, revealed a 52-pound weight loss journey, emphasizing the importance of supplements and addressing insecurities. She expressed past struggles with self-criticism and societal expectations, noting, "I’ve battled self-criticism in the past! Ripped myself down to the ground!!" She highlighted that her visible change is a testament to what's possible, encouraging others to pursue similar journeys.

Amy Schumer has also spoken positively about Mounjaro, finding it easier to tolerate compared to Wegovy. Schumer, 43, shared her experience in an Instagram video in March, explaining that she turned to Mounjaro after struggling with Wegovy's side effects. She connected with Midi Health, a virtual care clinic, and found relief from perimenopause symptoms through estrogen and progesterone treatments alongside Mounjaro. According to WebMD, Mounjaro contains GLP-1, similar to Wegovy and Ozempic, aiding in weight loss for diabetes patients, with common side effects including nausea and diarrhea.

Since January, O'Donnell has settled in Dublin, Ireland, with her 12-year-old child, Clay. She told Us Weekly in April that they have found a welcoming community and a great school there. O'Donnell praised the kindness of the locals and the village-like atmosphere in the heart of Dublin.

O'Donnell also commented on Ellen DeGeneres' move to the English countryside, expressing surprise at DeGeneres' stated political motivations. O'Donnell emphasized her own long-standing political involvement and clear reasons for leaving the U.S., wishing DeGeneres well despite their different approaches.

O’Donnell will appear in season three of Sex and the City sequel show And Just Like That…, which premieres on Max Thursday, May 29, and new episodes drop weekly.
