Rivers Sole Administrator charges corps members on creativity - Daily Trust

The Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Rtd), has charged members of the 2025 Batch A Stream II of the  National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to the state to harness their creativity and ingenuity.

This, he said would make meaningful contributions to the country’s development.

Ibas gave the charge during the swearing-in ceremony held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Nonwa-Gbam, in Tai Local Government Area (LGA).

While emphasizing that the role corps members play in nation-building, he commended them for their significant strides in education, agriculture, healthcare, and rural infrastructure.

Ibas, represented by Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), assured the corps members that his administration would prioritize their welfare and security.

Earlier, the Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, encouraged the corps members to view their mobilization as an opportunity to contribute to national development.

A total of 2,247 Corps members, comprising 903 males and 1,334 females, were sworn in during the ceremony.
