Kanpur: The entire Gangetic plains including Kanpur division, Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, New Delhi and the entire national capital region are set to witness rain for few days from June 28, said weather scientist from CSA University S Sunil Pandey.

As per the forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the rain activities are likely to start from June 28 and continue till July 2. Meanwhile, in Kanpur, maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3 degree, 1.8 degree below normal. However, maximum relative humidity recorded at 80% and minimum at 58% percent made it feel like 40 degree. Cloud cover and north eastern wind provided some respite.There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall locally along with strong winds and thunderstorms between June 26 and 30 along with light clouds in the sky for next five days. tnn
