Pragya Jaiswal shares her experience on 'Daaku Maharaaj' success; playing a fierce dacoit & working with Balakrishna again

Pragya Jaiswal has kicked off the year on a high note with the release of her recent film '

Daaku Maharaaj

', which turned out to be a strong film at the box office. Recently the actress shared about her unique role in the film, her experience working with veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna for the second time.
In 'Daaku Maharaaj', Pragya plays Kaveri, an engineer-turned-dacoit. During an interview with Hindustan Times, she expressed about portraying a character that defies expectations, that no one envisioned her as a dacoit with fans calling her "daaku maharaani". Pragya described Kaveri as accomplished and fierce and that she is pregnant yet fights for a cause.
Pragya's collaboration with Balakrishna is noteworthy, especially since this is their second project together after the successful film 'Akhanda'. When discussing Balakrishna, she described him as a source of joy and positivity on set. She appreciates his professionalism and collaborative spirit. She said, "There's so much to learn from a legend like him who can switch on and off effortlessly between takes. He has no filters, is respectful, makes everyone feel equal and is overall such a nice person. He’s very collaborative as a co-star".

Despite the nearly three-decade age difference between them, Pragya addressed the common issue of age gaps in casting. She believes that casting should focus on how well an actor can portray their role rather than their ages. As long as the audience can accept them as a believable couple and the story is told effectively, she sees no problem with age differences.
'Daaku Maharaaj' since its release on January 12 has reportedly earned over Rs 120 crore worldwide. She will be next seen in the upcoming Telugu film, 'Tyson Naidu'.
