Popular Kisumu events promoter Maurice Ryan is dead.

The popular celebrity's family and friends announced his death on Sunday, July 6, revealing he succumbed to cancer. Maurice was sick for a while and underwent brain surgery recently.
Kenyans, including politicians, musicians, took to social media to mourn Maurice Ryan with touching posts. Maurice worked with several artistes, including King Kaka.
"I have lost a friend and a dear brother.
Maurice Ryan embodied honesty, care, and pure love. He had a rare heart β always present, always kind, always fun. I travelled to be with him before the big fight, the brain surgery, we took the photo and he reassured me that victory is ours! I will miss you deeply, my friend. Rest well, Moriso. ποΈπ," Hezron Omondi announced Maurice's death.
Top celebrities from the Nyanza region, including Jalng'o, Prince Indah, took to social media to mourn Maurice Ryan. Many described him as a trailblazer in the entertainment industry, hardworking, kind and a fighter.

The Mugithi singer announced the death of his wife, Josephine Wairimu, with a touching message. He revealed that the love of his life died after a short illness.
Banema revealed his wife had left behind a young child.
Celebrities, including Karangu Muraya and DJ Mo, led Kenyans in mourning Banema's wife.
